A collection that significantly reduces the environmental impact

Together with the truck and bus manufacturer Scania, we have created a collection of workwear that is environmentally certified. It was our and Scania's joint commitment to make a difference and be a leader in sustainability in our industries that led us to enter into this agreement. The new collection significantly reduces the impact of work clothes on the environment.

"Scania is one of our most important customers and the largest customer so far to receive a specially adapted collection of environmentally certified workwear from Fristads. Together we can and want to be agents of change for sustainability."

We have developed 23 environmentally certified garments for Scania workers in production and logistics across Europe. By switching to these new garments, we will save 676 tons of carbon dioxide equivalents and 4,380,778 m3 water equivalents* compared to a traditionally produced collection. To extend the life of the old garments, when they are replaced by the Fristads collection, the old material can be used as filling in trucks.

​​​​​​​To measure the impact of the workwear, all the garments in Fristad's new collection for Scania will be delivered with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a verified document from an independent third party that describes the garment's environmental impact throughout its life cycle. The  transparency of the EPD makes it easier for our customers to compare different garments and make informed choices when it comes to workwear. It can also help companies achieve their own sustainability goals.
